For the 13^th annual year, The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association shined its spotlight on the industry’s top individuals at the Annual Stars of the Industry Hospitality Awards Gala in late-September. This year, Boyd Gaming team members took home three prestigious awards, recognizing their exceptional professionalism and the outstanding service they deliver day in and day out.

Tony Madolora, Engineering Personnel at Fremont Hotel & Casino, was named Public Area/Facilities Leader Star of the Year. Since starting at Fremont more than seven years ago, Tony’s dedication to the job has been apparent to every guest and team member that has entered the doors. He played an important role in the Fremont remodel in 2022 replacing tile and painting columns, all while ensuring each guest is treated as if they are family.

A Gold Coast Hotel and Casino team member for 30 years, Facilities Engineer Darin Edwards was recognized as Public Area/Facilities Star of the Year. Though Darin’s primary role is in Facilities, he consistently goes above and beyond to assist other departments. Since beginning his tenure with Boyd Gaming, Darin has maintained a strong work ethic, consistently demonstrated a Boyd Style positive attitude and shows unwavering dedication to the Company every day.

Bingo Supervisor at Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa, Dawn Kearney, was honored as Casino Operations Star of the Year for her outstanding performance. A team member at Boyd Gaming for nearly 25 years, Dawn is the go-to person for questions and concerns. It is said that she is never too busy to assist a team member or guest in need, always ensuring guests have a friendly experience in the bingo room and leave wanting to return.
